WHY CHOOSE A FEMALE INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE CLINIC?

We are Female Only Holistic Clinic. Does Female Indian Head Massage in Birmingham Sound a bit discriminatory or sexist? Now there are multiple reasons why we chose to offer this sacred space for females only, below are some reasons:

  1. We have clients from all paths of life and this often includes trauma survivors whom have escaped domestic or sexual violence. The main purpose of our holistic wellness treatments are to provide a space to fully relax and rebuild. Many researches states that women with such experiences feel a sense of safety and hence are able to better relax in female only spaces. In mixed environments females with wounds that are not fully healed can be triggered subconsciously – ours is simply a break from this – where they can work on themselves and rebuild themselves without anxiety and triggers that could slow down their progress of recovery.

2. Our holistic services is not purely for relaxation purposes [unless you explicitly inform us that’s all you would like]. When done correctly holistic treatments of most kinds are meant to improve not only the mental and emotional health but also the physical health. Even with movements towards equality and a genderless society, most of us would agree that according to science and biology men and women are built differently. Hence a women only holistic clinic would allow us to better understand and further specialise in women’s wellbeing in particular. Most of us must have heard of the saying “Jack of all trades, master of none”. Our aim is to become the master of our trade.

  1. Our holistic treatments are built to complement our main service, which is meditation. For our meditation students a female only space goes beyond female prevalence. It has to do with energy. Every space has a certain energy / frequency – even with measures put in place to energy cleanse our space, there’s often a part of certain frequencies that are left behind. For those who are sensitive to energy (some are naturally sensitive others build this through meditation & other practices), just by walking into a space they will either feel uplifted or drained.  In the spiritual realm female only spaces are said to retain a different type of frequency to mixed spaces. This frequency can uplift & accelerate the healing process in females.

*Disclaimer: We have not come across any “scientific studies” confirming point 3 “yet”, these are based on our own experiences (as well as through feedback from female clients).

FAQs

Q: Why does your Indian Head Massage Questionnaire ask for my hair type for a massage?

A: Our Herbal Indian Head Massage oil is tailor made to your Hair type and condition, which is why it’s important we know your hair type in order for us to prepare the best suitable oil for your hair / scalp.

Q: How can your Indian Head Massage help me with my Sleeping issues?

A: If your reason for having the Indian Head Massage is to improve your sleep, please mention this in our questionnaire and we will have a consultation with you prior to commencing the treatment to assess the root cause and advice accordingly. If we believe we are not able to fully help, we will point you in the right direction to other proven alternative therapies that we believe may suit your recovery better. Or we may suggest a combination of therapies or habits that you could adopt to tackle the issue.

Q: Why is it important to read your before and after care before an Indian Head Massage?

A: It outlines precautions and measures required for you to follow, not only to get the optimal benefit from our Head Massage, but also to avoid any adverse reactions as a result of not following the before and after care.

Q: Why can I not get a longer Indian Head Massage?

A: According to Ayurvedic practices one should not give Indian head massaged for longer than 40 minutes as this can cause over stimulation (increasing the chance of side effects such as nausea) as well as scalp irritation & soreness which could lead to damaged hair follicles, preventing healthy hair growth or cause hair breakage.
